Write for us
We welcome pitches that illuminate a specific custom, daily rhythm, foodway, expression or tradition with care and a clear point of view. Send proposals through the Contact page; a pitch is not a guarantee of publication.
What to pitch
A strong proposal identifies its subject, the question it will answer and why a general reader may find the detail revealing. We welcome explanatory pieces, thoughtful comparisons and cultural history that make distinctions rather than leaning on familiar stereotypes.
Make the scope clear
Tell us which place, community or practice the piece concerns, how you will handle differences within that scope and what kind of sources or materials would support it. Avoid claiming that one person or example speaks for everyone. We are not looking for generic destination promotion or unsupported cultural claims.
Send a concise proposal
Use the Contact page to choose an editorial proposal and include a working title, a short summary, the intended angle and a brief note about relevant experience or source access. Please do not send a complete draft unless requested.
